John "Kanga" Kennedy, Jr. (born November 22, 1959) is an Australian former Australian rules footballer, and the son of legendary Hawthorn footballer and coach John Kennedy, Sr..

Kennedy, Jr. was a four time premiership player with the Hawthorn FC and is also the father of Josh Kennedy. In 1993, Kennedy was appointed as assistant coach to Peter Knights.

Kennedy played a total of 241 games for the Hawthorn FC, placing him 11th in the list of most club matches in Hawthorn history at the end of the 2005 season. [1]

In 1995, Kennedy was elected to the board of directors of the Hawthorn FC, of which he is no longer a member.
