Ivan "John" Jurkovic (born August 18, 1967 in Friedrichshafen, Germany) is a retired American football player currently employed as a broadcaster. He grew up in Calumet City, Illinois.
Jurkovic played professionally as a defensive tackle for the Green Bay Packers, Cleveland Browns and Jacksonville Jaguars. Jurkovic was a fan favorite in Green Bay for his boisterous personality. He attended Thornton Fractional Township North High School and Eastern Illinois University.
Jurkovic is now an afternoon drive host on ESPN Radio 1000 in Chicago along with Dan McNeil & Harry Teinowitz. Some of Jurkovic's popular bits for the show include "The Jurktionary" and "Random Thoughts with John Jurkovic".
Jurkovic is an avid golfer and has spent some time on the NGA Hooters Tour. He is also a classically trained pianist.
His younger brother, Mirko Jurkovic, played on the offensive line at the University of Notre Dame where he was All-America.
