John Jorah Koster

John Jorah Koster is the Grandson of Solomon Alter who was involved in the Stecky II camera and Bitec Computers. John Jorah Koster was given a Paillard Bolex 8mm film camera at the age of seven by his Grandfather Solomon and made over 20 films beginning at age 8. As a college student, he studied abroad in Berlin and was an intern at an East German Newspaper. A German photo editor got Koster started taking photos for the Axel Springer Publishing House in Berlin, Germany.
John Jorah Koster finished a bachelor of arts in New York and was hired by Jeffrey L. Kimball as a camera apprentice (uncredited) on the MGM film "Windtalkers." Today he resides in the San Diego area.
John Jorah Koster and Tamela Turtle received Golden Drovers for best thriller and best original song at the Trail Dance Film Festival in Duncan, Oklahoma January 2007 for the film titled Yonderville.

The film Yonderville was featured at the Trail Dance Film Festival starring, Ken Gregg, Tamela Turtle, Jeremy Hust and Juan Rivera. "Yonderville" received two awards called "Golden Drovers" at the Trail Dance Film Festival.[1]
