John J. Weinheimer was the 22nd head college football coach for the New York University Violets located in New York, New York and he held that position for three seasons, from 1944 until 1946. His career coaching record at NYU was 10 wins, 12 losses, and 0 ties. This ranks him sixth at NYU in total wins and 12th at NYU in winning percentage.[2]

Weinheimer also played football and other sports at NYU. He was awarded a place in NYU's Athletic Hall of Fame for his playing and coaching efforts.[3]
