John Geoffrey Inge is the current Bishop of Worcester in the Diocese of Worcester.

He was born in 1955 and educated at St Chad's College, Durham University where he took a BSc in 1977 and an MA in 1994. He completed a PhD at Durham in 2002. In 1979 he took a PGCE at Keble College, Oxford. He trained for ordination at the College of the Resurrection, Mirfield.

From 1984 to 1986 he was Assistant Chaplain at Lancing College. He was Junior Chaplain at Harrow School from 1986 to 1989, and Senior Chaplain from 1989 to 1990. From 1990 to 1996 he was Vicar of Wallsend, St Luke. He became Canon Residentary of Ely Cathedral in 1996 and was Vice Dean from 1999 until his consecration as Bishop Suffragan of Huntingdon in 2003. In July 2007 he was nominated to be Bishop of Worcester from 1 October 2007.

He is author of A Christian Theology of Place (2003). He is currently a trustee of the Common Purpose leadership organization.
