John Norman Hyde (born 13 October 1957 in Hamilton, Victoria) is the sitting member in the Western Australian Legislative Assembly for the Electoral district of Perth.[1] He was elected to the seat in 2001 after the retirement of Diana Warnock.
Hyde was the the first openly gay man to be elected to the Western Australian parliament.[2]
Previously, he was Mayor of the Town of Vincent.
His father was Geelong and Claremont football player John Hyde.
