John Hudson (actor director)

John Hudson was born in Wanaka, New Zealand. March 7 1960. His first acting experiences came about through musical theater, where at 13 years he played the Artful Dodger in Invercargill and Dunedin. He started professionally as a youth actor at the age of 17 at the Fortune Theatre, Dunedin. Since then he has worked all through New Zealand in theater, radio, TV and film. During the 90s he was established in Christchurch as an independent producer. He developed the Shenanigan Brothers with Patrick Duffy. (An improvisation comedy duo) The group toured the world delighting audiences in many lands. Especially in Germany where they developed a regular tour. John is currently working on TV projects in Germany now, as well as having co-founded the Film production company Pegasus Kicks Productions, together with writer-producer Mark Needham.
