John Holborow

John Holborow (b. 4 February 1967) General Manager of RCA Records UK, part of SonyBMG. Was until late 2007, the Managing Director of the Beggars Group, the largest independent record label in the UK, a group of labels which includes 4AD, Matador Records, Rough Trade Records and XL Recordings. Since joining the company in 1989, Holborow has overseen ten chart topping albums in the UK in a career that has seen the label group achieve dramatic growth in the UK and overseas with the release of albums from a range of genre defining artists including The Cult, The Charlatans, The Prodigy, The Pixies, The White Stripes, Dizzee Rascal, Basement Jaxx, Thom Yorke, and Dead Can Dance.
