Dr. John C. Hitt has been the president of the University of Central Florida (UCF) since 1992.[1].
Hitt is the highest paid public university president in Florida, earning over $907,929 annually. The UCF Board of Trustees (BOT) credits Hitt for the rapid growth to its position as the 6th largest university in the United States and huge strides the university has made since his arrival.[2]
