John Haymes Newton (born December 29, 1965 ) is an American actor. He is known for playing series regular roles on the television programs Superboy, Melrose Place, and The Untouchables.
Newton stars in James Kerwin's sci-fi noir film, Yesterday Was a Lie. On the DVD release of Superboy: The Complete First Season in 2006, Newton appears as himself on the documentary featurette "Superboy : Getting Off the Ground" and provided audio commentary with executive producer Ilya Salkind on two episodes.
Born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, he spent 3½ years training and performing theatrically in New York City.
