John Haymes Newton (born December 29, 1965) is an American actor. He is known for playing series regular roles on the television programs Superboy, Melrose Place, and The Untouchables.
Newton stars in James Kerwin's sci-fi noir film, Yesterday Was a Lie. On the DVD release of Superboy: The Complete First Season in 2006, Newton appears as himself on the documentary featurette "Superboy : Getting Off the Ground" and provided audio commentary with executive producer Ilya Salkind on two episodes.
Born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, he spent 3½ years training and performing theatrically in New York City.
