John Harold Lozano Prado (born March 30, 1972 in Cali) is a Colombian football (soccer) player. He plays the midfield position. He is known for being a strong leader on the field, with very good aerial ability.
He played mostly for América de Cali and Real Valladolid (Spain) (in Valladolid from 1996-02), but also spent some time playing with Palmeiras (Brazil), Club America (Mexico) and RCD Mallorca (Spain) (in Mallorca for 2002-03).
He was a participant at the 1994 FIFA World Cup and at the 1998 FIFA World Cup.
Whilst at Valladolid, during a match against Real Madrid, players of Madrid blamed Lozano for whistling during a free kick, causing Real Madrid to believe that the referee had blown the whistle. The free kick was a successful goal for Real Valladolid. Lozano denies that it was him and says it could have been any of the 90,000 spectators at the soccer match.
