John Guppy

John Guppy was formerly the president and CEO of the Chicago Fire Soccer Club, after his removal on April 11th 2008[1]. He was also formerly the Executive VP of the Metrostars until 2005, when he was chosen by former Fire owners AEG to replace the popular Peter Wilt -- a move that resulted in substantial fan backlash and protest [2]. The Fire has since been sold to Andell Holdings.
John Guppy was born in Winchester, England and is a 1990 graduate of New Hampshire College and 1992 graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He currently lives in Naperville, Illinois with his family.
