John Graham-Cumming

John Graham-Cumming is a British programmer best known for the open source POPFile email filtering program. [1] Because of the popularity of POPFile he became well known in anti-spam circles and was one of the founding speakers at the annual Spam Conference at MIT with Paul Graham and has continued to write and speak about anti-spam and email filtering (in addition to his other main area of interest: GNU Make). [2].
He is listed as an inventor on four US patents: 6,182,146, 6,584,501, 7,086,063 and 7,263,695. He studied at Oxford University gaining a BA/MA in Mathematics and Computation and a DPhil in computer security. [3]
