John Gebhard

John Gebhard (February 22, 1782 - January 3, 1854) was a U.S. Representative from New York.

Born in Claverack, New York, Gebhard attended the public schools. He studied law. He was admitted to the bar and practiced. Surrogate of Schoharie County 1811-1813, and again from 1815 to 1822.

Gebhard was elected as Federalist to the Seventeenth Congress (March 4, 1821-March 3, 1823). He resumed the practice of law. He died in Schoharie, New York, January 3, 1854. He was interred in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.
