John Flanagan is an Irish soccer player who was born in Drogheda. He currently plays with Dundalk F.C. enjoying his second spell with the club.
He started his career with Home Farm F.C..
He then joined Dundalk and helped lead them to victory from central midfield in the FAI Cup in 2002 against Bohemians.
He joined Drogheda United after being released by the then manager Trevor Anderson. He transferred to Athlone Town for a short spell before rejoining Dundalk in 2005 where he now plays as a right back.
He was voted the best looking teacher at the De La Salle Awards 2005, 2006 and 2007. He also won the best bum award since the beginning of the awards.
He is a teacher working in the De La Salle College on the Castleblayney Road in Dundalk were he teaches Science and P.E.
