John F.C. Westerman

John Francis Cyril Westerman (born 1901) was an English author of children's literature. He was the son of author Percy F. Westerman, and published 30 books of his own, including edited works for Oxford University Press.[1]

He rose to the rank of major in the British army. Late in life he was known to have lived on a yacht off the coast of Gibraltar.[1]
