John Edward Marr

John Edward Marr (14 June 1857- 1 October 1933) was a British geologist.

He was born in Morecambe, Lancashire, the third son and youngest of the nine children of John and Mary Marr. He was educated at Lancaster Royal Grammar School and St John's College, Cambridge.

He succeeded Thomas McKenny Hughes as Woodwardian Professor of Geology at Cambridge in 1917.
