John E. Rooney (CEO)

John E. Rooney is the President and Chief Executive Officer of U.S. Cellular. As CEO since 2000, he transformed the business by focusing on being customer satisfaction organization.

Rooney previously was at Ameritech where he was president for seven years before coming to US Cellular.

He has been married to his wife, Germaine, for the last 40 years. They have three children and seven grandchildren.
