John Drake (cricketer)

John Drake was a first class cricketer who played 3 matches for Yorkshire County Cricket Club in 1923 and 1924, when he also turned out for the Second XI.

He met with precious little success in his three outings for his native county. A right arm fast medium bowler, he took just 1 wicket for 117 and scored 21 runs at 7 with a best score of 10.

He was born on September 1, 1893 in Tong Park, Baildon and died in Meanwood, Yorkshire on May 22, 1967.
