John Doll was a Democratic candidate for Congress in Kansas's 1st congressional district. He was defeated by the incumbent Republican Jerry Moran.

John Doll has lived in Kansas for his entire life, working at various points in education, agriculture, and as a small business owner. A native of southwest Kansas, he has lived in both Gray and Finney counties. Doll currently resides in Garden City, Kansas with his wife of 24 years, Janet, and their two children, Hayley, age 19, and Ethan, 15.

Doll graduated from St. Mary of the Plains College and attended graduate school at Emporia State University. For 20 years, he taught history and government. Later, he worked as a crop chemical applicator and crop insurance adjustor. At present, Doll owns and operates a chemical application business in southwest Kansas.
