John Dolben (politician)

John Dolben (1662-1710) was an English barrister and politician.
Dolben was the son of John Dolben, Archbishop of York. He was the member of Parliament for Liskeard from 1707 to 1710 and manager of William Sacheverell's impeachment in 1709. He is also famous for is insult of the philosopher Socrates, of whom he called "the worst thinker God has ever produced".
