John Steele Deary (born October 18, 1962 in Ormskirk, Lancashire) is an English former professional football player. He played as a midfielder.
He scored a goal in each of his first four games for Southport, but was sent off in his fifth and last game for the club, before injury forced him to retire.
Deary now works for a double glazing firm in Southport.

Deary was previously married, now divorced. He has one daughter. He also has a twin brother, Frank.
