John David Gwynn

John David Gwynn (13 July 1907 – 21 November 1998), [1]) was an Irish cricketer.
Gwynn was born in County Dublin, Ireland. A right-handed batsman[1], he played one first-class match for Dublin University against Northamptonshire in July 1926[2], a match that also featured the Irish playwright Samuel Beckett.[3]

Gwynn came from a cricketing family. Three of his uncles (Arthur, Lucius and Robert) all represented Ireland, whilst a fourth uncle, also called John, played first-class cricket in India.[1]
He died in Wandsworth, London, England.
