John Cremeans

John Cremeans is one of the first several on-air home shopping hosts and is considered a pioneer in the home shopping industry. Since 1985 to the present, Cremeans span of over 23 years as a national television host is unrivaled by only a few in electronic retailing. He is currently employed at HSN out of St. Petersburg, Florida, and has been with the company for over 17 years and is currently hosting the 'Sunrise' morning show. He has had several Cohosts - Barbara Marville, Lynn Murphy and Lori Leland.
His moniker The Doctor of Shopology was given to him by a caller during his earlier days as a host. His travels have taken him to networks that have included American's Value Network, CVN - The Cable Value Network and currently HSN. One of his most popular shows was CVN's 'SoldOutrageous'. Cremeans and his late night band of characters took to the airwaves to sell anything from gold to electronics.
Cremeans broadcast career started while he was a senior in high school where he worked at a local radio station - WIXK AM & FM in New Richmond, Wisconsin doing part-time night and weekend announcing. He later worked in talk radio at WRPX in Hudson, Wisconsin just outside the twin cities of Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota. He was promoted to News Director at both stations and later became the Station Manager at WRPX.[citation needed]
