Johnathan 'John' Colson (16801760) was a Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at Cambridge University. He was an undergraduate at Christ Church, Oxford, but did not take a degree. He produced several of Isaac Newton's works including De Methodis Serierum et Fluxionum in English in 1736.
