John Christie Willot

John Christie Willot was born in 1962 in Karlsruhe, South-West Germany. Early musical activities included experiments with electronic music, ensemble compositions and involvement in jazz and rock ensembles. Private music tuition in Guitar, Piano and Conducting, later also Composition Studies with Robert Wittinger.
Studies of Ethnomusicology and Musicology with Hans Oesch, Hans Heinrich Eggebrecht and Hans-Peter Haller (Heinrich-Strobel Stiftung des SWF) at the Basel University were followed by Composition Studies with Milko Kelemen at the Stuttgart Music College. In these years he also started his work as a recording producer for his own label and many other record companies. Since 1990 J C Willot lives as a freelance composer and producer in Ireland.
