John Chandioux is a specialist in computational linguistics. His work in the machine translation field includes creating the GramR programming language and the METEO Translation System, which has been used from 1977 to 2001 by the Canadian government's Translation Bureau to translate weather bulletins on microcomputers. Chandioux is the president of John Chandioux Consultants and vice-president of EDIT Inc., its publishing arm.
