John Carnochan

John Carnochan is an animation film editor. He is responsible for editing some of the best animated films in recent years. For Disney he edited The Little Mermaid in 1989, Beauty and the Beast in 1991, and The Lion King in 1994. He edited the third film with Tom Finan. These three films are usually considered 3 of Disney best. Upon completion of The Lion King, many Disney employees left Disney with President Jeffrey Katzenberg to work at Dreamworks Animation. Carnochan was one of them. He edited Dreamworks's 2nd film, The Road to El Dorado, with Dan Molina. After El Dorado was completed, Carnochan didn't stay at Dreamworks. He left to go to 20th Century Fox to work at Blue Sky Studios where he edited their first film Ice Age in 2001 and their second film Robots in 2005, both directed by Chris Wedge. He most recently edited The Simpsons Movie.
