John Bay was an American actor and playwright married to the actress Elaine Stritch. He died of brain cancer in 1982.
John Bay was born in Chicago, Illinois, which is also the place of the Bay family's Bay's English Muffin factory.
He appeared in many productions, including the Doctor Who story The crusade in 1965 playing the fourth Earl of Leicester.
