John Armstrong (born 19 July 1988, in Edinburgh) is a Scottish professional football player currently playing for Heart of Midlothian.
Armstrong joined Hearts from their Boys Club system in 2004 and tasted his first involvement of senior action when named as an unused substitute for the Tynecastle club's match against Dunfermline Athletic on 2 January 2007. He made his debut as a substitute at the same venue on 3 February 2007, as Dunfermline beat Hearts 1-0 in the Scottish Cup 4th Round.
He joined Cowdenbeath on a season-long loan in July 2007.[1]
