John A. Phillips

John Phillips is a new age musician who plays 6 instruments. They are Guitar, Bass Guitar, Sitar, Drums, Keyboard or Piano, and Violin. He has been in many bands such as Limiter (Eric Dombrowski + Max Mares - Guitar, Kyle Kubits - Vocals, Hilary Rosenheim - Drums, and John A. Phillips - Bass and Backup vocals) and the instrumental band The Electric Epidemic (Mike Zoern - Lead Guitar, Zach Lampinen - Rhythm Guitar, Kyle Hogg - Drums and John A. Phillips - Bass) but is currently part of the band Thrill Kill (Jason Reminger - Rhythm Guitar/Vocals, Brandon Pockat - Lead Guitar, Ryan Pockat - Drums, and John A. Phillips - Bass/Back Up Vocals)
John A. Phillips was always inspired by music. He stated playing Piano at the age of 3 on his grandmother's piano. His loving mother Lonita bought him his first bass. It was a Warwick Corvette 5 string bass. This single bass started off the the art of music in his life and led him to get many other stranger instruments. None was stranger than that of his double Toomba Sitar.
John's idol in music has always been Dave Mustaine of Megadeth and like wise Megadeth has always been his favorite band, although Cliff Burton is his favorite bassist. He can play nearly every Megadeth song and his style is much like that of the RIP Megadeth.
John has been accredited for discovering 2 kinds of Music, Arabian Death Metal and Classical Funk Metal. In the song Blood of the East John plays a sitar for the intro and the outro.
John is a dedicated Christian. He plays bass guitar at Family of Christ Assembly of God Church in Clintonville, WI.
