Johannesburg Stadium is a stadium in the Doornfontein suburb of Johannesburg, Gauteng Province, South Africa. It was originally built as an athletics stadium and is now the home of one of South Africa's most famous football sides, the Orlando Pirates. The stadium has a sweeping roof and can accommodate 37,500 people. The eighth IAAF World Cup of Athletics was held at the stadium in 2003, with 58 countries competing.
