Johann Krieger

Johann Krieger (December 28, 1651, Nüremberg-July 18, 1735, Zittau) was a German composer and organist, brother to Johann Philipp Krieger. He succeeded his brother as chamber organist at Bayreuth in 1672 and was employed at Greiz (1678-1681) before settling in Zittau, where he spent the rest of his life. He is said to have been highly esteemed by Handel.
