If the date on this image and Image:Andrew Jackson-1844-2.jpg are correct, this cannot be the first-ever photograph (daguerreotype) of an American President.

It is not the first-ever photograph of an American President. John Quincy Adams was the 6th President and hence the earliest President to be photographed, although his photograph was taken after that of a later President (Andrew Jackson). 66.176.34.102

Read it again. The description of this photo says that JQA is the first president of whom a photograph exists. This refers not to the age of the photograph, but rather the chronology of the President. "The first ever photograph of an American President" is obviously not the same thing as the earliest American President of whom there is a photograph. The earlier description claimed it to be the first, which appears to be false. -- Infrogmation 04:26, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
