[edit] License tagging for Image:DHS group shot2.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:DHS group shot2.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Hello Joe. Thanks for your message. Your article was deleted because the band does not make an assertion of notability. Notability criteria for bands are explained here. If an article does not make a claim of notability it may be deleted immediately by our Speedy Deletion process. If a claim is made, but it is dubious or unsourced it may be debated by the community at WP:AfD and then deleted or kept depending on what consensus is reached. I don't believe the band meets our notability criteria, but if you believe it does, you may recreate the article explaining why they are notable and providing reliableattribution for the claim. I hope that helps, but let me know if you need further assistance. Rockpocket 19:25, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Image:DHS group shot2.JPG

A tag has been placed on Image:DHS group shot2.JPG requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
