[edit] Valérian articles

Thanks for creating all those articles about Valérian books! I have created a separate category for them. — JIP | Talk 12:18, 11 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Valérian: Spatio-Temporal Agent

Albums of Valerian etc.. Maybe you created the album article for the series Valérian: Spatio-Temporal Agent: i saw them and found interesting. The problem is that the titles should be in Italics, according to Wikipedia:Manual of Style... do you have time to correct each article? Ciao and good work! --Attilios 17:51, 20 June 2006 (UTC)

Hi. I added the info about Fantasy Flight's plans for additional Valerian 'albums' (comics, actually). I can't get a citation for this, as I don't have this info. I have long be interested in American reprints of various European comic albums (because I wanted to get them a read them), and have been keeping a list of them, including their titles and who published them. I also kept note of promised reprints, and when they didn't emerge, I would update my list to indicate they never came out. When FF announced their reprint plans for several European albums, I noted them, include Valerian. Now, other thing I wonder is whether or not NBM did in fact re-publish those 4 Dargaud-USA albums. Having the 4 DargaudUSA albums, I had no interest to get the NBM ones, so I am uncertain if they in fact re-published them. Some something for someone to confirm. --Emb021 20:04, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
You wrote me: "Presumably this information came from somewhere - either a press release from the company or a trade publication? Is it just the case that you never kept track of where you picked up the info in the first place?" Yes. I would get items like "Amazing Heroes" (which would have announcements of upcoming publications) and occasionaly read other comic zines with similiar info, catalogs from the publishers, which many times would list upcoming publications, and the like. I would update my list with these upcoming publications, because I was hoping they would be published (and I'd get them). Too often they either didn't come out, or worse, the publisher went under. While it would be great to get citations for all info, frankly the Wikipedia editors really need to ramp it down. I find it a bit off putting as a contributor. --Emb021 22:08, 25 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] link to Rolls Royce

Hello, when you want to link to the article about a Rolls-Royce, please do not link to Rolls-Royce, as that is a disambiguation page (which nothing should be linked to). Instead link to the one of the options found on that page such as Rolls-Royce plc by writing out [[Rolls-Royce plc|Rolls-Royce]]. Regards, Jeff3000 02:19, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wow

Just saw your updates to Star Cops. Brilliant work. Telsa (talk) 14:48, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

..and you're still at it, evidently :) A quick question: I see you have added information from a television programme. Are we allowed to use television and DVDs and so on now? Is there a guideline on how to reference them somewhere, or shall I just copy yours? (I'm asking because I have a factoid for another article that I can't find written down, but which I have on a DVD, and if I can add it, then I shall.) Telsa (talk) 18:06, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
Thanks a lot for the links! Telsa (talk) 13:47, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Would like to hear your opinion

You recently posted about your Jean-Claude Mézières article: "I confirm that I have completed the WikiProject Biography 11 easy steps to producing at least a B article. This article attained B-status in its quality assesment. I have expanded the lead section as per feedback received and am now submitting for peer review as suggested. Would like to attain GA status."

The requirement that you confirm following the WikiProject Biography 11 easy steps was posted very briefly before being removed. At peer review discussion, I posted a query about modifying the "peer review request." Since you are one of the few who actually experienced this request, I think it important to have your opinion regarding this suggestion. Thanks. -- Jreferee 23:40, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Birds of the Master

When I noted that Laurelin made a nude one-off appearance, I actually meant that she appeared that way in just one picture in that particular book. Would you mind if I put it put the remark back in again?

[edit] Kids Sci-Fi Series from the 80s

I still have to verify it, but from an initial glance it appears you've provided an answer for one of my longstanding questions. Thanks a lot! — Mgm|(talk) 08:07, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] The Stone Tape

Hello Joe. I am very flattered to be described as an expert, that's very kind of you — I basically just felt Kneale and his work could do with better articles and tried to do enough research to do them justice. After a quick look your Stone Tape article looks excellent — I'll try and give it a proper going-over tomorrow. Cheers, and keep up the good work! Angmering 18:57, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

I've given it the once-over and made a couple of tweaks here and there, but overall I have to say it looks excellent, easily up to GA standard. Nice to see such high-quality work on television being done here on Wikipedia! Angmering 13:15, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
You're welcome! Good luck with the GA nom. Angmering 18:22, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Irene Shubik

Fantastic work, really interesting stuff. Another of your hugely impressive articles. It really is great to see someone writing British television history articles of such high quality. Keep up the superb work! Angmering 19:34, 5 May 2007 (UTC)

I was planning on trying to bring the 1979 serial's entry up to standard myself sometime soon as well, but I'm more than happy for you to have a crack at it and then I'll see if I can chip in with anything if necessary! (Which I'm sure it won't be, as your articles on such productions are always superb). Angmering 14:56, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Barnstar

The Original Barnstar
For turning Quatermass from a poorly-referenced and sloppily written article into an excellently written and cited piece of reference material in practically a single edit, as well as for generally excellent work on articles relating to British television history. Angmering 21:14, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
"...and it was supposed to be this big CSO screen, and they wheeled in this little portable television... and we were on opposite Terry and June..." ;-) Angmering 18:13, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
Sorry if I trod on your toes at all with The Quatermass Memoirs. I was just sitting at home with not much to do this evening and decided to pick up the ball and run with it! Angmering 19:46, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] The Apprentice (UK)

All of your requests appear to have been granted, is it now time for the article to be re-listed? Dalejenkins 14:44, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

Hi, I've had a stab at the corrections. Most are uncontroversial - the only one that I really need you to look at hard is what I've done to the soundtrack section. Hopefully you'll be able to pass this now:) --Fritzpoll 21:56, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

Right, I think we're there - this is just to prompt you with a "you have new messages" tag in case the article isn't on your watch list :) --Fritzpoll 14:56, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] GAC backlog elimination drive

This form message is being sent to you either due to your membership with WikiProject Good Articles and/or your inclusion on the Wikipedia:Good article candidates/List of reviewers. A new drive has been started requesting that all members review at least one article (or more, if you wish!) within the next two weeks at GAC to help in removing the large backlog. This message is being sent to all members, and even members who have been recently reviewing articles. There are almost 130 members in this project and about 180 articles that currently need to be reviewed. If each member helps to review just one or two articles, the majority of the backlog will be cleared. Since the potential amount of reviewers may significantly increase, please make sure to add :{{GAReview}} underneath the article you are reviewing to ensure that only one person is reviewing each article. Additionally, the GA criteria may have been modified since your last review, so look over the criteria again to help you to determine if a candidate is GA-worthy. If you have any questions about this drive or the review process, leave a message on the GAC talk page. --Nehrams2020 01:11, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Eppur Si Muove (The West Wing)

I think that all the points you've made have been covered; would you mind having another look when you have a moment? Regards, Chrisd87 14:51, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the GA-pass! Lampman 12:51, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
