Prices start at around $177,000 (A$375,000) before options. The Continental GT has also been popular among celebrities and is sometimes referred to in the popular press as a "Baby Bentley". "Baby Bentley" however, usually refers to the Chrysler 300.

- 1952- Classic Bentley Type R Continental launched.
- 1998- Volkswagen takes control of Bentley and Rolls-Royce, later transfers Rolls to BMW.
- 2002- Bentley Continental GT first unveiled at Paris Motor Show.

The GT appears in the 2005 remake of The Longest Yard with Adam Sandler, featuring the Bentley in the co-starring role held by the Citroën SM in the 1974 Burt Reynolds original.

560 ps of sheer power, permanent four-wheel-drive and a newly developed 6 speed Tiptronic gearbox are all part of the Bentley Continental GT's specification. But just as important are its tremendously athletic styling and its wonderfully luxurious. Bentley's latest is an instant classic.
