[edit] notability

this person is very notable. he is a former mayor of a major california city. he is also a board member of BART. bart is not a company and he is not appointed. he is elected similarly to a city councilperson, however bart covers an area of 4 counties in the san francisco bay area with about 4 million people in the bart district. he is elected by popular vote similar to a city councilman. he is also in the news a lot, and is in charge of or part of many committees which apear in the news for major projects with regards to infrastructure for a global city metropolitan area. this is the type of person you would look up in an encyclopedia, like the board of supervisors of the city and county of san francisco. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Icamepica (talkcontribs) 23:38, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
