Joel Monaghan is an Australian rugby league player for the Canberra Raiders in the National Rugby League competition. His older brother Michael Monaghan plays for the Warrington Wolves.

He made his debut for the Sydney Roosters in Round 1 2005, vs. South Sydney. He was ruled out of the 2006 season after he injured his knee in a trail match vs. Dragons. Joel Monaghan Played the first 2 Games of the season for the roosters before injuring his hamstring. He returned in Round 4, vs. Broncos only to injury it again when he scored a try. He made his return from the hamstring injury in Round 9, vs. Gold Coast Titans. So far in Season 2007, Joel has played 17 Games & Scored 13 tries, 52 Points. He returned to the Canberra Raiders for the 2008 season.[1]
