Joe Tacopina

Joe Tacopina is a New York lawyer, and a frequent commentator on Fox News, Court-TV and MSNBC.
Joseph Tacopina graduated from University of Bridgeport Law School in 1991, becoming first a prosecutor, and then, in 1994, a defense lawyer.
He has taken part in several high profile cases, including:
- obtaining an acquittal for Officer Thomas Weise who had been tried for the torture of Abner Louima.
- representing Joran van der Sloot and his father in the investigation into the disappearance of Natalee Holloway
- representing former Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik in various controversies
- representing Diana Bianchi in her claims of sexual harassment against Peter Cook, husband of Christie Brinkley
- representing rapper Foxy Brown in her many run-ins with the law.
- representing fertility nurse Melanie McGuire recently convicted of the murder of her husband William T. McGuire
- representing the family of Imette St. Guillen, criminal justice student who was abducted and killed by a New York City bar bouncer
- representing Amanda Knox, accused to be involved in the murder of Meredith Kercher in Perugia (Italy).
