Joe Smith is a Missouri politician. He resides in St. Charles, Missouri, with his wife Kimberley, and their child, Benjamin.

He was born in St. Louis County, Missouri, and graduated from Francis Howell High School in 1991. He later received an A.A. degree from St. Charles Community College in 1998, and a degree cum laude in corporate communications from Lindenwood University in 2000. He is also currently a candidate for a master's degree in Service Agency Management.

He was employed as a United Parcel Service driver for eleven years and is currently employed as an account representative by Lindenwood University. He is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Cottleville, Missouri, the St. Peters and St. Charles City Chambers of Commerce, the St. Charles Pachyderm Club, and the St. Charles Young Republicans.

He was first elected to the Missouri House of Representatives in 2002, winning reelection in 2004, and 2006. He currently serves on the following committees:

  • Appropriations - Transportation and Economic Development (vice chair),
  • Elections,
  • Transportation, and
  • Veterans.
