Joe M. Seng is the Iowa State Senator from the 43rd District. He has served in the Iowa Senate since 2002. He received his DBM from Iowa State University and works as a veterinarian.
Seng currently serves on several committees in the Iowa Senate - the Agriculture committee; the Appropriations committee; the Labor and Business Relations committee; the Natural Resources and Environment committee; and the Ways and Means committee. He also serves as chair of the Agriculture and Natural Resources Appropriations Subcommittee. His prior political experience includes serving as a representative in the Iowa House of Representatives from 2000-2002 and serving as an alderman in the city of Davenport.
Seng was re-elected in 2006 with 13,017 votes, running unopposed. [1]
