Joe Pearce

Sid 'Joe' Pearce was an Australian rugby league player for the Australia national rugby league team and the Eastern Suburbs club. 'Joe', like his father 'Sandy', played in over 150 matches for the Eastern Suburbs club, Joe has also been named as a member of Easts greatest ever side - 'The Team Of The Century'. He and father Sandy were the first father and son to have represented Australia in rugby league. Joe Pearce represented Australia in eleven Test matches.

In February 2008, Pearce was named in the list of Australia's 100 Greatest Players (1908-2007) which was commissioned by the NRL and ARL to celebrate the code's centenary year in Australia.[1][2]
