The Joe Montana Award, officially the Joe Montana High School Quarterback of the Year Award, is presented annually to the high school football player adjudged by DeBartolo Sports University, the amateur sports division of DeBartolo Sports and Entertainment, to be the best of all high school quarterbacks.[1] It is comparable to the Davey O'Brien Award for collegiate quarterbacks. The award is named in honor for four-time Super Bowl winner Joe Montana. The inaugural award was handed out at the 2008 Outback Bowl.[2]
