Joe Maggard (born 8 December 1955, in Lynch, Kentucky) is a writer, director and producer and an actor most notable for having appeared as Ronald McDonald.

Maggard appeared in dozens of films, television shows, stage plays and commercials. He appeared in Katharine Hepburn's last film, Truman Capote's One Christmas. He previously worked as a soldier in the US Army and was a Deputy Sheriff.
Maggard is now a writer, director and producer with his own production company, Bozo Syndrome Films LLC. In November 2003 he announced his intention to create a documentary about "coercion, threats, intimidation and manipulation by McDonald's and Leo Burnett Advertising." In June 2004, Maggard filed a federal lawsuit against McDonald's and Leo Burnett for fraud and unfair and deceptive practices in Raleigh, North Carolina.
