Joe Hune

Joe Hune (born May 29th, 1980) is a politician from the U.S. state of Michigan. He is a Republican member of the Michigan House of Representatives from the 47th district in Livingston County. Hune was elected in 2002. He won the Republican primary in what is considered a safe GOP district at the age of 21. In an intense primary, Hune initially lost by one vote but won after a re-count of the votes. After taking office he established himself as an important part of the Republican leadership. Hune has spoken as a major or keynote speaker at a variety of Republican functions, including the Young Republicans and College Republicans. He is currently chair of the House Insurance Committee and will be term limited out of the state house in 2008.
