Joseph Peter DeRenzo (born November 1, 1958 in Orange County, California) is a jazz drummer, composer and producer currently living and working in New York City.
DeRenzo produced two CDs with the help of longtime friend and jazz pianist Tom Zink. Also on board for these projects are founding members of The Yellowjackets, pianist Russell Ferrante and bass player Jimmy Haslip along with longtime member Bob Mintzer. DeRenzo toured Western Canada with jazz guitarist Brian Hughes in the early 80s and worked with The Dae Han Sisters in Las Vegas. Is currently working with Nile's Project to help stop MRSA through public awareness concerts featuring his Beatles tribute band Joe DeRenzo & Friends, a jazzy tribute to The Beatles.
