Joe Berinson

Joseph Max "Joe" Berinson (7 January 1932) is a former Labor member of the Australian House of Representatives from the 1969 election until his defeat by Ross McLean at the 1975 election, representing the division of Perth, Western Australia. He was Minister for the Environment from 14 July 1975 until the dismissal of the Whitlam government on 11 November 1975. He was subsequently elected as a member of the Western Australian Legislative Council becoming Attorney-General in the Burke and Dowding governments.[1]
