Joe Ayoob (born August 8, 1984 in San Rafael, California), U.S.) was formerly the back up quarterback for the California Golden Bears, an college football team. Ayoob was the Bears starting quarterback for most of the 2005 season after an injury to Nate Longshore in the season's first game. Ayoob lost his starting job towards the end of 2005. Steve Levy started for Cal in the place of Ayoob in the Big Game and the 2005 Las Vegas Bowl that season. Ayoob relieved Longshore in the 2006 season opener against Tennessee after Cal was behind by over 20 points and during the 2006 Holiday Bowl when Cal was up by over 20 points. Ayoob graduated from the University of California Berkeley in 2007.
Joe joined the Central Valley Coyotes, an ArenaFootball2 team which plays its games in Fresno, California, for the 2008 season.
