Joe Addo

Joseph Addo (born September 21, 1971 in Accra) is a former Ghanaian football (soccer) defender, and one-time captain of the Ghana national team.
Addo went to the United States to attend college and play soccer at George Mason University. On the club level, Addo played for Cagliari (Italy), VfB Stuttgart and FSV Frankfurt (Germany), Sparta Rotterdam (the Netherlands), Belenenses (Portugal), Ethnikos (Greece), Tampa Bay Mutiny, MetroStars (United States) and Kitchee (Hong Kong).
Addo played for Ghana at the 1996 Summer Olympics. For the senior team, he appeared 44 times, scoring two goals.
He is now a soccer coach for the 7th and 8th grade team at West Essex Junior High.
